Privacy policy

AeroFrag is run by Granite Digital, a trading name of Granite Digital Ltd, a company incorporated in Jersey. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Questions or requests: info@granitedigital.je.
The short version: there are no accounts, no chat and no payments. Playing against bots sends nothing about you to us. Multiplayer needs a little data to connect you to other players, and aerofrag.com uses Google Analytics only if you agree to it.
What is stored on your device
Your settings (controls, graphics, volume, last match set-up and your player name) and, on aerofrag.com, your analytics choice are saved in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device; we never receive them. Clearing your browser's site data deletes them.
Multiplayer
When you host or join a multiplayer game:
- Your player name is shown to the other players in that game. If you host a public game, your name and the game's settings appear in the Open games list until the game closes. On CrazyGames, if you are logged in, your CrazyGames username is used as your player name.
- Your IP address is seen by our matchmaking server, which runs on Cloudflare, so that it can connect you to the other players. Games run directly between players' browsers (peer to peer), so the other players in your game can also see your IP address, as in most peer-to-peer games. Cloudflare's connection-test server (STUN) sees it too.
- Your approximate location, at city level, is estimated by Cloudflare from your IP address and used only to estimate each game's ping in the Open games list. It is held in memory while a public game is listed and is never shown to other players.
- Gameplay (movement, shots, scores) passes between the players in that game while it runs and is not stored.
We do not keep a record of games, names or IP addresses once a game has closed. Cloudflare may keep standard request logs for security and reliability under its own policy.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the multiplayer service you asked to use.
Google Analytics (aerofrag.com only)
If you accept analytics cookies on aerofrag.com, Google Analytics records how the game is used: which maps, modes and weapons are played, how long matches last, frame rate and load time, and general device and browser details. It never receives your player name, room codes or anything you type. Google Analytics sets cookies and keeps this data for up to 14 months. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the home page. The CrazyGames version of AeroFrag does not use Google Analytics.
CrazyGames
If you play AeroFrag on CrazyGames, CrazyGames runs its own site, accounts, analytics and advertising under its own privacy policy. AeroFrag receives only your CrazyGames username (if you are logged in) and the room a friend invites you to.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare: hosting, the matchmaking server and the STUN server.
- Google: Google Analytics on aerofrag.com, with your consent.
These companies may process data outside Jersey, including in the United States, under the safeguards their terms provide. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Children
AeroFrag is intended for players aged 13 and over. We do not ask for age, contact details or real names, and there is no chat. Use a made-up player name rather than your real one.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018, and the UK and EU GDPR where they apply, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to its use or withdraw consent. Because we keep almost nothing, most requests are answered by clearing your browser's site data or declining analytics, but you can always email info@granitedigital.je. You can also complain to the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner (jerseyoic.org) or your local data protection authority.
Changes
If what AeroFrag collects changes, this page will be updated and the date above changed.
